UX Copy and Strategy: xFi Device Activation

Xfinity’s xFi app is a digital dashboard that lets users customize and control their internet experience. In the future, xFi will also be where customers go to install, activate, and control smart home devices such as door locks, video doorbells, and door and window sensors.

As the sole writer on this on-going project, I am responsible for all UX copy. I also help inform the overall UX strategy and bring consistency to a larger and ever-changing team of UX designers, product, owners, and senior stakeholders.

UX Copy and Marketing Content: Roast

Roast is a web-based occupant comfort survey app that helps building owners, facility managers, and HR professionals understand how people feel in their spaces. Currently in development, the app lets users quickly create customizable surveys using pre-populated questions developed by building specialists.

I worked closely with the development team to translate coders’ technical knowledge into clear and legible in-app copy and engaging website and marketing content.

Pointelist is a customizable sensor network that measures temperature and relative humidity and records the results in a web-based app.

Working with a UX designer, graphic designer, and developers, I wrote the Pointelist website copy, FAQs, and support documentation.

Website Copy and Marketing Content: CANopy

CANopy is a game that generates awareness and encourage donations by challenging users to created a balanced meal using just $5.20, the same amount the average low-income American can afford to spend on food per day.

My role on this project included writing all website copy and collaborating with a graphic designer to establish UX strategy.
